Aggie Roberts Elementary School Comprehensive Modernization
Project Cost: $13,304,260
Project Duration: June 10, 2024 – September 18, 2025
The Comprehensive Modernization of Aggie Roberts Elementary School was a large-scale renovation that upgraded critical building systems, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced the learning environment for students and staff. The scope included the full replacement of HVAC equipment and the energy management and building automation control system, along with a new electrical room and telecom room buildout. Existing cast iron plumbing vent pipes, plumbing fixtures, and water heaters were replaced. Lighting throughout the school was upgraded with energy-efficient LED fixtures, while all low voltage systems, including security CCTV, intrusion detection, Wi-Fi, and other technology infrastructure were modernized. The existing built-up roof was recovered with an 80-mil PVC system to ensure long-term durability.
Interior enhancements included the replacement of doors and hardware, removal and reinstallation of ceiling systems, repainting of high-traffic areas, and targeted classroom refreshes to restore surfaces following device removals. Additional upgrades included modernizing the faculty lunchroom and updating bathroom finishes for improved functionality and aesthetics. Exterior improvements focused on re-caulking and repainting key building sections to enhance weather resistance and boost curb appeal.
Together, these comprehensive upgrades have extended the facility’s lifespan, fostering a safer and more sustainable learning environment, and bringing the school in line with contemporary educational standards.
